Ranica Travel was established in Japan with a clear focus: to provide travel arrangements that work not only on paper, but in practice.
We understand that a successful journey depends on more than selecting destinations and booking individual services. Routes need to be realistic, schedules need to work, suppliers need to be coordinated, and the different parts of an itinerary need to function together.
This practical approach shapes the way we plan and coordinate travel in Japan.
From individual ground services to multi-city programs, we look at each request in the context of the journey as a whole — its travelers, timing, pace, logistics, and operational requirements.
Built from Hands-on Experience in Japan
Ranica Travel grew from years of first-hand experience working with travelers and operating tours in Japan.
Working directly with travelers, guides, drivers, hotels, restaurants, and other local service providers provided an understanding of tourism that goes beyond itinerary design.
It showed us how much of a successful journey happens behind the scenes: careful preparation, realistic planning, clear communication, coordination between different parties, and the ability to respond when circumstances change.
Ranica Travel was established in Japan in January 2021 to bring that experience into a dedicated travel business.
Today, that same operational perspective continues to shape how we approach each program — from a single local arrangement to a journey involving multiple destinations and services.
Designed with the Journey in Mind
The goal is simple: to create travel arrangements that are thoughtful in planning and workable in operation.
At Ranica Travel, we approach each program as a connected journey rather than a collection of separate bookings.
A well-planned itinerary needs to work in practice. Travel times, routing, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, meals, group dynamics, and the pace of each day all affect the overall experience.
For this reason, we look at both the individual arrangements and how they work together within the program.
Our approach is practical and flexible. We plan around the requirements of each journey, communicate clearly with the parties involved, and adapt when operational circumstances require a change.
Aylin Shinami (Alipour)
Founder & Tour Operations Professional Ph.D.
Ranica Travel was founded by Aylin Shinami (Alipour), a tourism professional with hands-on experience in tour guiding, tour management, itinerary design, and tour operations in Japan.
Before moving into tourism, she completed her Ph.D. in Japan and spent several years in academic research and education. Her transition from academia to tourism brought together an analytical approach to problem-solving with practical experience working directly with travelers and operating tours.
Over the years, she has worked with travelers from different countries, cultures, age groups, and travel backgrounds, while coordinating the practical realities of journeys across Japan.
Her experience in the field — from itinerary planning and guiding to managing day-to-day operations and responding to unexpected situations — has shaped Ranica Travel's practical approach to destination management.
Today, she leads Ranica Travel with a focus on thoughtful planning, professional coordination, and travel programs designed to work in real-world conditions.
